Makars' Court to
Greyfriars Bobby:
Edinburgh Storytelling Walk
11:00am
1hr. 30min.

Meet in Makars’ Court, beside the Writers’ Museum, and set off on a story-led walk along the top of Edinburgh’s Royal Mile. From the Castle Esplanade down Castlehill, we weave together sieges and royal drama with the city’s witches and wizards, then take in Victoria Street and the Grassmarket. We finish at Greyfriars Bobby to separate myth from truth- and you’ll see why his true story stays with you long after the tour ends.
Makars' Court to
St Giles' Cathedral:
Edinburgh Storytelling Walk
11:00am
2hrs. 15min.

Start in Makars’ Court and follow all the stories of our Greyfriars Bobby walk- then keep going. We cross the George IV Bridge and rejoin the Royal Mile, meeting the brilliant minds and larger‑than‑life locals who shaped Edinburgh (and left behind a few scandals, too). We finish at St Giles’ Cathedral with tales of saints and sinners, and you get to decide who deserves which title.
Makars' Court to
Scott Monument:
Edinburgh Storytelling Walk
11:00am
3hrs.

Meet in Makars’ Court and take our widest‑ranging Edinburgh storytelling walk- following the Royal Mile from the Old Town into the New Town as the city’s character shifts around you. After all the highlights of our Greyfriars Bobby and St Giles’ walks, we continue to Tron Kirk, uncover hidden histories along (and beneath) the street, then descend Cockburn Street and cross over the site of the old Nor Loch. We finish near the Scott Monument with the feeling you’ve walked through centuries in one go- and you’ll see Edinburgh’s centre with fresh eyes.

*Please note that our walking tours do not go inside paid attractions (e.g. Writers' Museum, Edinburgh Castle, St Giles' Cathedral, or the Scott Monument).

Twilight Tales of Edinburgh
5:00pm
2hrs.
As daylight fades, follow the Royal Mile and other parts of the Old Town into Edinburgh's darker tales- myths, legends, and hidden histories. Personal, story-packed, and never scripted.

Best for teens (13+) and adults- we cover murders, tortures, and executions.

*These tales are also a bit too dark for the ears of our young Golden Retriever tour guides, Walter and Arthur, so they won't be joining us on 'Castle to Twilight Tales' walking tours.
