How long are your Edinburgh walking tours?
Our walking tours run from 90 minutes to 3 hours, depending on the tour you choose.
What size are your tour groups?
​We keep groups small for a more personal experience- more like a walk with a friend than being in a crowd.
Do your Edinburgh walking tours include a dog?
Often, yes. Our family-run tours are sometimes joined by one of our Golden Retriever co-guides, Walter or Arthur.
​Can I bring my dog on the tour?
Yes. Well‑behaved dogs are welcome, as long as they’re comfortable around other dogs, since one of our Golden Retriever co‑guides often joins the tour.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. Advance booking is required to secure your place, and our small groups can fill up quickly.
Where do your tours start?
We meet at The Witches Well, near the Edinburgh Castle Esplanade. For the exact spot and a photo of the meeting point, please see our homepage.
Are your tours suitable for children?
Yes- our tours are family-friendly, and we love sharing Edinburgh’s stories with visitors of all ages.
Do you offer private tours?
Yes, we offer private tours for families, groups, and special occasions. Email us at weewalkingtours@gmail.com to arrange.
​How can I pay for my tour?
​When you book on our website, you can pay by card online, or you can choose to pay in person (cash or card).
What happens if it rains?
Our tours run rain or shine- this is Scotland, after all. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. We only cancel in the event of unsafe conditions.
Is this an Edinburgh ghost tour?
Our tours focus on Edinburgh’s stories, legends, and history. While we may cover spooky tales, it’s not a jump-scare style experience, and we adapt our stories if there are younger children in the group.
Is the tour accessible (wheelchairs/prams)?
Some routes include cobbles, steps, and hills, so accessibility can vary by tour. If you tell us your needs, we’ll recommend the best option.
